This may be as simple as the problem I was having... I got everything set up
but assumed that Movie Maker would draw the video from my camera. Well, it
doesn't do it automatically: you have to actually play the video on your
camera (in vcr/playback mode) after you click the "start capture" button. And
you have to turn on the "USB Streaming" on your video camera. (I found the
USB Streaming option in my camera's menu."
