Capturing video from Sony DCR TRV 480

I believe my problem with blotchy pixels is due to a setting on my video cam.
I see the image ok but it has square shaded pixels like an image is expanded
to much. Does anyone have any idea what I did wrong on the digital cam. It
used to capture fine
