I have a digital video camera and would like to capture the video onto my
computer through Movie Maker. Is there a certain video capture card or
adapter that I need ? The cable I have and the USB ports do not match up.

Is this a camera or a camcorder? If it's a camcorder, you'll need firewire
(aka iLink, aka IEEE1394). Since a camcorder doesn't come with this you'll
need a cable to connect it to the PC and if your PC doesn't have firewire
ports, you'll have to get a firewire PCI card.

If it's a digital camera that can also take video, use a card reader.

If you use USB you are only going to get analog video.

Use Firewire aka iLink, aka IEEE1394.
