Hello

I'm using Movie maker to capture old TV Shows from VHS, and when the
capture finishes, sometimes it puts a white bar across one or two frames,
and I'm wondering why that happens for. Any ideas appreciated thanks

Hello there,

You will probably find that the problem is caused by the information for
that last bit of video not being complete. The VHS system does not deal
well with the very end and beginning of a recording.

A good approach would be to record more than you need and trim to the
required length.

Hi there,

90% of my MM2 activity is with VHS capture (via a Canopus
ADVC-100), and JohnK is 100% correct -- always "start
early" and "end late" with the capture... it sounds like
you might be pausing or stopping the analog device and
thereby "capturing" the electronic result of that action.

If the distortion affects "precious" frames, just try
creeping backward or foreward one frame at a time from
the good part until you reach the first distorted frame,
then just trim it at that point.
