I have frequent need to tape vehicle traffic for my work. As the clips can change time and date frequently between taping i need to be able to display the time and date the video is captured when producing the video in moviemaker. Now the DV tape carries the timestamp and can be displayed on playback in the camera and therefore can also be caught on old analog technology but i need to know how to add the timestamp to the captured video file. I do not want to have to go through and add a title for each capture. There may be up to 100 different pieces of footage on each tape. Does anyone else have experience with this

I'm not sure if it works with MM2, as not tried it, but there are two links

The idea looks fine but i dont have time to check it at the moment. Late here in Oz so will try it tomorrow. Looks like it is made from AVI though which is not produced by MM2 Any ideas on conversion programs?

You can capture to dv-avi with MM2, you just need to set it in the options
when you capture.
