I am capturing video from a VCR using an Osprey 300 and I get the sound but
not the picture. Movie Maker sees the card, but still does show the images,
only the sound.

Movie Maker is best at capturing Digital Video via firewire.... with a USB
connection and analog, it's a hit or miss situation. If it doesn't work, you
need to capture the files with your other software and convert the files as
needed to get them into Movie Maker.

a) What is an Osprey 300? A convertor of some sort?
b) "Movie Maker sees the card"? Is it an analog capture card?

Your VCR outputs analog signals,
please detail how you have this connected to your PC?
If it is as I suspect, then the simple and time saving response
is that it is not possible for WMM to capture any signal the
way you may have it configured? More details please.

An Osprey 300 is a video capture card that captures analog as well as digital
video. I can capture the same video using Real Producer Plus, but it doesn't
work with Movie Maker. The setting in my computer are right, the proof is
that other software like Real Producer, and Premier can capture the same
analog video.
Thanks anyway for trying to help!
