capturing a clip

Hi,

I installed movie maker on win7 & want to capture a movie from mu
camcorder however in move maker I do not see a capture option, only:
"import video", "import pictures", "import audio and music".
import video allows importing a video clip from the hard drive to the
application.
How to capture a vidoe clip from the device?
