Capture video problem

Whats it do?
I am having problems also. When I try to capture it
capture a small portion some time 30 sec. some times a
little more but it always locks up.
WinXP
Athlon 1900
512 ram
ATI All in Wonder 128
Canon zr60
Siig Firewire 1394
