I am Using Windows XP Home and am trying to capture a picture of the entire
screen(everything shown on the monitor). I want to be able to take that
image and crop it and place it in a Word document. I know it can be done, I
just can find any instructions.

===========================================
Press your Print Screen key and the screen shot
will be saved to your Windows Clipboard. Then
you can Paste the shot in your image editing software
and crop it.

If you do not have a program for the cropping...
the free program FastStone Image Viewer has
a good crop tool.

You're welcome.

BTW, Yves suggested the following freebie for
capturing screen shots...it works very well. I have
it set so all I have to do is:

1) Press...PrintScreen...
2) Drag a box around the content I wish to save...
3) Press enter...
The shot is immediately saved as a .jpg in a
folder of my choice.
