I'm limited for soace on my laptop and so want to capture my video recorder
straight to a network aware storage device. The storage drive is set-up and
configured correctly and is mapped in Windows Explorer. It's in use for
music etc. The drive is on my network and accessed through a switch.

My problem is that when i start the capture in Movie Maker the drive is not
available when i select 'Browse'.

Any ideas how i could capture straight to this mapped drive ?

Thanks,

Paul.

try drilling down thru your network... I don't think it needs to be a mapped
drive.

I just checked... I can change the location of the temporary files to a
network drive, but can't choose a network drive to be the location of a
captured video.... mapped or not.

Thanks for looking. I've reverted to downloading and using WinDV. This
allows me to capture to the network drive. I can then pick up these files
into collections in MM2.

Paul.
