I am now officially in mourning.

The biggest single musical influence in my life has passed on.

I'd expected this for at least 15 years, it had never been confirmed what his illness was, now I know.

Goodbye Don

I'm not grouchy by nature, it takes constant effort.

Obituary

This is so sad, all my peers seem to be dying around me yet, against the odds, I'm still here. Quite odd.

There is a tear on my cheek.

Poignant tribute from John French (the drummer who spent the most time with The Magic band, Don's backing group):

Watch your topknot, and keep your eye to the skyline
