Thought I'd better post this 'officially' as opposed to a passing comment it the stats thread.

I'm not going into any details but my mind is made up ... only trouble is, I cannot see how one can pass over the Captaincy to another team member ... I may be stuck with it anyway.

Nominations may be posted below ... details to be worked out later.

I'm not grouchy by nature, it takes constant effort.

I have read this article with great interest, now my conclusion is this, Dagorath and others are pieces of shyte and, the more you kick shyte the more it sticks? I shall NOT be included and or drawn into any debate with such as###es on their forum.

I know exactly how mucks is feeling, I also don’t like being called a CHEAT period.

I crunch for a GOOD reason and that is all, so if I fall into the as###s trap along with many others, I wonder how it would effect the outcome of ongoing cures?

If the top notch on their forum had any sense he/she would make Mr as###e and his tribe apologise unreservedly to each and every one of our dedicated Crunchers.

Mucks is our captain and without him crunching would NOT be the same.

Yes itsme he is a piece of crap. I'm not to happy with the site either. The
CA's have sit on their hands and not done anything to that troll and have let things get way out of hand.

Mucks don' t let that piece of crap influence what you want. He is a
pathetic waste IMO.

Don't ask my why I have red & green fonts in the post.

Anyway, the long story short is that the opimised client dont have an effect on WCG because of the quorum system!! Thats the whole point fo it.

This is just something that has been festering on other forums and now has filtered down to WCG, and Dagorath is trying to stir it.

Mucks please dont let it get to you....
However, I would like to know what the 'lot more to it than that' is....

How can something so positive get overruled by competitiveness and BS??
I'm shocked and have one question:
"If BOINC causes issues with stats as far as WCG are concerned... why the (finding it hard to resist obscenities) hell do WCG allow connectivity with it?!"

Well either way - I regard the PC Review Team of Crunchers as 'givers', not 'takers'.
I'm proud to belong to this team!

I almost posted this over at WCG forums:

Quote:
I’d just like to say – Go Team XS! Great spirit and dedication you have.

Who the hell cares how you crunch your WU’s as long as they’re crunched?

Some people are missing the point here, And the point is we crunch to hopefully save human lives.

The team rivalry is secondary and just a bit of fun. If you’re only crunching to boost your ego and join up with one of the kickass teams for that reason only, then you really don’t understand.

Dagaroth, you really are cheap. You keep using the term ‘cheating scumbags’ and have accused some members of team XS of being into child pornography.

How old are you? 12? Don’t be applying for any ambassadorial vacancies in the near future anyhow.

I’ve been crunching for 6 years now, mostly in the fight against cancer. Right now I’m using (non-optimised) BOINC to crunch AIDS & Cancer WU’s for WCG. Both diseases are ugly and kill, I’d like to help eliminate them.

I’m with Team Bitbendertech at the moment but if I were at a loose end for a team I’d pick Team XS just to spite that Dagaroth foo.

Happy crunching fellow teamies.
But the team XS thread is locked.

And on reading the last post, where a member who's only made two posts (and is therefore suspect) alleges that Team XS encouraged him to 'cheat'.

Myself, I place no great store on points anyway, they're only there for the team thing, really.

Because the only thing that helps the medical researchers is a result.

The scientists and doctors really are not interested how long you've crunched something, what they need are the results.

But, I still say that dagaroth character needs a slap

lol, maybe something a little harder

i couldn't give a s**t how many points i get, for me getting the WU's done ASAP is all that matters

I'm out of bed and dressed, what more do you want?

Muckshifter you are a respected & liked captain of the team, please do not give it up for what 1 north american thinks. Anyone who thinks that using Boinc is a form of cheating probably does not understand crunching that well.

On a personal level you do a hell of a lot for this site & more for crunching and without the support you offer fellow crunchers i'm sure a lot of us would not have become a cruncher in the first place. Please reconsidor.

The comment is just a side swipe at Boinc and not you.
Lets counter this and fire a volley across his bow's instead!
