Something happened and when I press Caps Lock I type in upper case but
than when I press again Caps Lock nothing changes - I still type in
upper case. To switch to lower case I have to press Shift. How can I
correct the problem?

With most keyboard problems, have you tried a different keyboard?
Keyboards can develop "mechanical" problems.

NOTE: The keyboards with "round" connected (aka PS/2) can not, and
should not, be changed while the PC is turned on. There is a "small"
chance of a "static" discharge "blowing" the PS/2 keyboard controls.
(I've done this once!)

Is it this way with multiple keyboards?

Silly question: Have you tried doing a Restart? Or Shut Down, wait a
bit, turn back on? Often that straightens things like that.

Wired or wireless keyboard?

Any water spillages?

Hope this helps.

Eustace,
May I ask, when you say that you press the "Caps Lock key and
nothing happens" does the caps lock lamp go out or not?

Yes. Actually, thinking of it, the problem may have started when I added
English-International to English-US. I also have language Greek. It
happens with all 3 keyboards.

When I first press Caps Lock the light comes on, and it beeps "upwards"
(as I have selected in the Accessibility Options). When I press it
again, the light remains on, though it beeps "downwards" as it used to
do when the lower case would kick in and the light would turn off.

Yes. Turning off the computer and than back on did not correct the problem.

Laptop. No water spillages that I can remember. It beeps up and then
down, as set through the Accessibility Options, when the key is pressed
again, then when pressed a third or more times only beeps down, but the
light and the upper case turn on and only turn off when I press the
Enter key.
