the caps on display is not working. it use to show up in taskbar. How do I
turn it back on? windows XP.

You mean it used to display visibly on your monitor/taskbar/etc? Not just a
light on your keyboard?

That's a third party application thing in many cases - what third party
application did you uninstall/not install again after you formatted (if you
did.)

Yes - it doesn't work that way (in the taskbar) unless you install
some other little software tool and there are a variety of options.

If you can't remember what you installed or how it works, maybe look
in your Start/Programs or Control Panel/Add/Remove programs to help
you remember and visit their WWW site if you are having a problem with
it.

If you disable or remove 'Microsoft Intellitype Pro' using MSCONFIG, you
will no longer get the popups on screen..

Look to see that it is there and enabled..
