I'm working on a sick PC. I'm needing to run some online scans while in safe
mode. My problem is that I cannot see or access the full web page and don't
have scroll bars to go up/down or left/right.

I went into Internet Options and see the default fonts, but can't find font
sizes. I've tried to change the default display settings but can't get it to
change either.

What do I do to see the whole webpage?

One thing to try that might get you where you want - a bit clumsy
though:

With the window NOT maximized, if you can see the title bar at the
top, right-click on it and click on 'Move'.
Use the arrow keys on your keyboard to move the screen around the
desktop. Click the Enter key or your left mouse button when the window
frame is where you want it.

If you can't see the title bar:
Hold down the Alt key and click the spacebar once.
Click the M key once.
Use the arrow keys to move the window in the direction you want.

The scans bring the window up maxamized. I can move it to see what is in
back, but the desktop isn't what I want to see.

Oh, and I've already gone to View of IE and selected the smallest fonts.

If you can move it, it isn't Maximized.

The square box up by the red x is just the large square. THere isn't a
smaller one.

I can drage the window around, but can't move what's inside the windo
left/right or up/down.

That large square is what you see for a normal window. If it's maximized,
you see a two squares that are offset from each other.

I don't know what to tell you. If there's no scroll bar and you've moved the
window around so you can see all four corners (though not at the same
time)... and all the info isn't visible...That does not compute.

Do you have a link to the online scan so I can see what you're looking at?

The last one I tried was Pandasoftware's free scan:

http://www.pandasoftware.com/CMSPAND...NoModifyGuest#

My screen shows maybe one line after the top most bullet about receiving
their email. After installing all of the required files and the real scan
starts I can see only as far right to the Detected column. I cannot see
Disinfected.

Here's what it looks like (no viruses found). On left, full height, there's
an image and title. On the right there is a panel that shows results, with
six categories ending with Suspicious Files. Across the bottom is a bar that
reads "Your second opinion in PC security" and above that (on right) is a
flash ad for Panda AV.

The Maximize/Restore button at upper right is grayed out. Only Minimize and
Close are available. Does this jibe with what you're seeing? If not, what's
missing?

Does the results panel even show up? I ask because the engine is ActiveX, so
you should get that yellow bar across the top asking whether or not you want
to install the ActiveX before the scan can even start.
