a drive that can write and rewrite cd's. Luckily, these
days a regular cd-r/wr is not very expensive. If your
case has an empty 5.25 drive bay install it. Put it on
the same IDE cable as your DVD-ROM and look on the back
of the two drives and look for the tiny jumpers on the
pins. Set one drive to master (the one on the end of the
cable) and set the other one to slave (the one in the
middle of the cable.) If an installation cd comes with
it run. Probably it will just be Plug-and-Play but the
cd may contain a 3rd party burn utility. Windows XP also
has a built-in burn utility. Good luck.
