What burning software have you installed?
The built in XP burner doesn't do drag & drop (UDF packet writing). You'll need a commercial CD mastering package.

| I reciently transfered my cd writer from an older
| computer using windows 98. I put it in this computer with
| windows XP. I used to be able to write to the CD like it
| was a floppy. Backing up files and saving pictures and
| such. Since the switch I can not copy file to the cd the
| same way. For instance I can not format the CD Rom and
| the XP cdwriter program keeps giving me errors. But I can
| create Audio cds without a problem. Any Ideas about what
| to do in this situation.
