Hi Jonathan,
I'm back. As per your instructions I tested the
microphone and it was ok. I dont' have a third party
firewall, only using the xp firewall and I don't have a
router. Just this computer stand alone at home.

When attempting to uncheck the Qos Packet Scheduler, I
somehow deleted it. Will this make any difference the
computer functioning. Any way I also changed some port
setting as per another solution sequence of yours
somewhere at a Microsoft site. Now I can send files but
still no voice. I have upgraded to Messenger 6.1 and still
have the same problem, no voice communication.
I remember that one of the ports couldn't be changed or
something. Where do I go from here? Need to have voice
working. Thank you so much for your attention.
Doug

Hi try putting in the these two port numbers 5004, 65535
use the same way as you did for the other ports you
entered that Jonathan gave you.

Post back if it works.
Best of luck

Just out of curiosity, how do you enter port numbers?

Thanks for the info. I have added these ports but have
not as yet tested the system out. My contact is out of
town. Will get back to you later.
Thanks,
Doug
