I recievied a nasty little trojan the other day, the only way to remove it
was to do a system restore and then deletion. But since then I cannot view
the Google web search page. All the other Google pages work (ie. Images,
Video) and I have had no trouble viewing any other web pages. Have already
cleared my temp. folder. Any suggestions

Hi
Download the newest GoogleToolbar, uninstall what ever you have now and
install a newer one.

Hi Goofy,
Try this steps:
1= Download these tools and get the update and scan for malwares and also
scan for Viruses if you have an up2date Anti-virus software:
http://www.lavasoft.com
http://www.safer-networking.org

Click Start >> Control Panel >> Double click Network and Internet
Connections >> Double click Internet Options.
On the IE properties windows you will see these Taps:
General | Security | Privacy | Content | Connections | Programs |
Advanced
Under General Tab clear your History, Internet Files and Cookies.
Click Privacy Tab then click Sites Button and see if the Cookies for google
is blocked there and highlight it then remove.
Then click on Advanced tab and scroll down to under the Browsing Option:
[&] Browsing
[ ] Enable Third-Party browser extensions (Req Rest) uncheck this box.
Then click on Programs Tab and click Manage Add-Ons and Disable all non
Verified Add-Ons (You should Renable them later one-by-one and see the
culprit and update it or remove it.

2= Open a run command and try to reregister these DLLs:
regsvr32 urlmon.dll
regsvr32 shdocvw.dll
regsvr32 oleaut32.dll
regsvr32 jscript.dll
regsvr32 gpkcsp.dll
regsvr32 mshtml.dll
regsvr32 cryptdlg.dll
(Note click OK after each command to register it).

Reboot your machine and try the search engine.
HTH.
Let us know.
Regards,
nass

Sorry out of town for a few day's, thanks for the help "nass" and "Jack", and
yes the problem was that the cleaning I did was not thorough enough, the
"Antivir" fixed a lot and the updated version of "Ad-Aware" finished the job.
Everything seems to be fine now, Thank's again for the help and the new
knowledge.
