Hi,
Which version of Windows? (Including SP level- SP1, SP2, etc.)
Which version of Internet Explorer?

Try clearing the Temporary Internet Files

From IE> Tools> Manage add-ons, is the Shockwave Flash plug-in enabled?

Is this page able to display your version of Flash Player?

Maybe you're behind a firewall or proxy that's blocking it?

Win98SE / IE6

The link that you provided shows player version to be WIN 9,0,124,0.

Temporary Internet Files cleared.

Win98SE / FF2 doesn't work for me either.

Which player version are you using?

Hi,
As suggested by Tim, disable any third-party firewall or security suite to
see if that program is blocking the Flash content.

Try placing news.bbc.co.uk in Trusted Sites- Internet Options> Security...

It won't let me add anything without "https" prefix.

1 - Uncheck "Require server verification (https for all sites in this
zone"
2 - Add the site news.bbc.co.uk
3 - Check "Require server verification (https for all sites in this zone"
4 - Close

Well, it turned out to be ZoneAlarm ... sorta.
Clicking on "Shutdown ZoneAlarm" brings up a prompt asking
"Are you sure you want to quit?" The video will start working before
I answer the prompt. So, I just click "No" to keep ZoneAlarm open.
Whatever.
