I am unable to view many of the galleries at http://www.deviantart.com/

Though I'm 35, have my D.A. set to view all material, I'm am signed in, the
artist of at least one gallery says "it's working fine" and I can view some
D.A. galleries just fine, this unaltered screenshot is all I see in both
Opera 9.24 and MSIE7

http://www.cloudchasershaconage.furt...mp/deviant.jpg

Because others can view it, I think the problem is with my comp. What might
be wrong?

Does the DA site use anytype of 3rd party app to render the galleries,
like Flash or Java? Do you know if they use a pop-up or pop-under page
for adds before the gallery is rendered?

I don't know what they use, but I have noticed that if I'm at a specific
artist's main page and I middle click on "gallery" to open in another tab,
the main page will sometimes go blank just like in the screenshot I provided
above until I reload it. If you try middle clicking, you might get the same
result. If the blank gallery page thing happens when I middle click, it
happens when I left click too

There's some javascript on that page, but no Java. You might try the
following.

Repair 5.6 Scripting Engine install:

Click, Start, Run, type

Regsvr32 vbscript.dll

Click OK

Click Start, Run, type

Regsvr32 jscript.dll

Click OK

For Jscript Errors, you might look through the suggestions on this web site:

On both of the start run things, I got "successful," but that had no effect,
even after a restart. After that, I used add/remove programs to uninstall
Java, reinstalled with a newly downloaded offline install file from java.com,
restarted, tried a online java based games site to make sure it was working
and that had no effect either *tail droops*

I'm not getting any javascript or other errors.

Your middle-click is set to open the link in a new page? Is that an IE
AND Opera feature? Perhaps you should post this to an IE newsgroup
where they've dealt with the problem. Good luck.

Where is the MSIE7 group? I see the "Internet Explorer 6" in the menu on
the left, but I don't see one for MSIE7 in that or the pulldown at the top of
this page

Most post to the microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general group, I believe.
