Can't view images, no thumbnails

Today I was grabbing an image from one of the other computers in my house,
and right after that, I relized that I could not open the image. No images
for that matter, would open in the Image viewer. I could open them in things
like MS Paint and photoshop, so I know it's not the file itself, but not in
the Image viewer. I don't even get a error message. Simple, nothing happens
when I try to open it with the image viewer.
Then I went into My Pictures folder and I noticed that none of the
thumbnails were showing.
I changed the view of the folder to filmstrip and there is no image viewer.
Not even the interface or a block where the program would be. It's simple not
there.

Does anyone know how to fix this? It is really frustrating me.

Hi;
Try this right click on a image and see if you can use the "Open With" if
then choose Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. I did a Google search and I
could not find
anything.

Already tried that. Does the same as double clicking.
It's as if the viewer just dissapeared.

Image Preview
Registry Settings System Key:
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations\image\ShellEx\
ContextMenuHandlers\ShellImagePreview]
Value Name: (Default)
Data Type: REG_SZ (String Value)
Value Data: Blank or {e84fda7c-1d6a-45f6-b725-cb260c236066}

Go into the registry and see if it matchs the above.

Start Run regedit

Try registering the following file in the Run dialog box (Start > Run)

regsvr32 shimgvw.dll

Generic icon is displayed for a picture file when in Thumbnail view
