I am using FP 2002 and have got the java script for DHTML Drop Down menus. Its working fine when I go to preview page and show the result when I see it in any browser. But can't see the menus in normal/page pane.

Please anybody help and let me know the reason.

Hi,
Ideally we'd need to see the script you're using. At a guess the menu is
written out with javascript (very common technique with free scripts) so
needs to be viewed in a browser to be visible. Another downside to these
type of scripts is the links aren't visible to search engines.

The reason is that FP isn't a Browser. You need a browser to parse JavaScript.

FrontPage Page view doesn't execute scripts or other
dynamic effects during editing. If it did, the page would
be constantly changing under your mouse pointer and
editing would be very difficult.

Therefore, to see the effects like DHTML menus, you need
to switch to Preview mode or display the page in a browser.
