No luck. I get the same thing I always get. It seems like it works except
it's too quick to have actually tried to download anything. On the other
Adobe page that Youtube sends me to, it's almost as if I haven't agreed to
the agreement. That's the best way I can describe what happens. I click on
the "I agree" box and hit "Install Now" and it just recyles the page back to
that. I get no error message, it just keeps reloading the page as if I
didn't attempt the download. Like it wants me to agree to the agreement.
Which I already agreed to.
My company requires so many hours of training and the training site will not
let me proceed using the Dell with IE 6 because it tells me I don't have
Macromedia Flash and the link takes me to the same page as YouTube does,
which is Adobe. I can use Mozzilla fine, so I'm not sure what happened to my
IE 6. I try to be careful when it comes to what I load and open and I don't
remember anything that may have caused it.
It won't proceed using the HP with Windows Vista because it says I have
"pop blocker disabled" and it should be enabled, and my friend who got
everything else to work with the Windows Vista machine told me there was
nothing he could do about that. He said that you can't remove IE 7 from
Vista, and you can't have both IE 6 and IE 7 on a Vista machine. He said
that the problem with IE 7 is that our company just hasn't adapted to it and
there is no way to fix it because whatever it is looking at is wrong on our
end. I can't fix the pop-up blocker thing because it's not looking at the
right thing. And they won't fix it.
Sorry, but what I know about computers you could fit on the head of a pin
and still have room left over. I was hoping someone might know what I could
do to fix IE 6 on my Dell and I could keep using that until my company got up
to speed with Vista and IE 7.
I can always go in the office to get my training hours. ICK.
