Does any other Office program offer the New or Save option? Is this a trial
version that you did not activate or that has expired?

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.
After furious head scratching, rac asked:
| I have MS windows xp, until just a few days ago my outlook program was
| working fine but now I can not update the contacts or make additions
| to the contacts or calendar. The windows open but the "new" and
| "save & close" are not highlighted therefore not accessible. have I
| turned off something or is this need a "fix"?
