My son downloaded the Weaterbug softwaare and I want to
remove it. We have not subscribed. I've used the
add/remove software tool but I'm getting a microsoft
error message saying it can't find the file and to make
sure I'm "typing it in correctly".

Anyone know how I can get rid of this obnoxious software?

You may need to reinstall it then uninstall it....did you check their
website for support?

You might want to do a search for "Weather Bug" and then
delete all the files that it finds, Or you could go to
your "Program Files" and look for it yourself.
But it sounds to me like you may already have deleted it
but it still is listed in you "Add/Remove" right?
I have found that I have uninstalled software before but
that after doing so it stll remained in my "Add/Remove"
listing.
Luckly I had this program called {Jv16}Power tools that
can clean your registry and find loose files that a
program scatters all over your computer and put them all
in one folder, It also can remove software that you
uninstalled but still remains under "Add/Remove listing,
along with finding old and other left over files that old
and uninstalled software left behind.
You can find it at www.jv16.org.
It also has many more uses that are just to many to list
here, Oh AND IT'S FREE!
Good Luck ....... Rick

It is in a folder named AWS- delete that folder. Then
download or run Spybot Search and Destroy to get rid of
all the tracking software it has put on your system

Just a note... JV16 Powertools is no longer free... he got people to
beta test his software for him, then pulled the plug and is selling it
now...
