i just got a new keyboard and mouse, the mouse works fine, but the keyboard
doesn't work. i'm using the on-screen keyboard right now. ive gone and looked
at the kb drvers and it appers that there are two drivers present. one from
my new kb and one from my old one. ive tried to uninstall the old one
several times but it just wont uninstall!!

Uninstall new kb drivers, shutdown, reboot using old kb, uninstall old kb
drivers, shutdown, reconnect new kb.

I'm having the same problem. See my post under "Muliple keyboards and mce".
