Background:
Installed IE 7 Beta 1 - no problems
Uninstalled IE 7 Beta 1 - no problem
Installed IE 7 beta 2 - very unstable and favorites not working
Problem:
Attempted to uninstall IE 7 Beta 2 - no Uninstall in Add/Remove
Running spuninst.exe receives "This application has failed to start because
UPDSPAPI.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix problem."

If I try to re-install the install app runs to 46% and then ends with the
message "Internet Explorer Installation did not complete."

Am I caught in the middle - half on/half off?

I want IE 7 because I liked IE 6 - what should I do?

Hi GW :-)

It is a problem that is happening to some testers. And all IE7 Beta 2 Public
Preview testers are asked to post their comments, questions and problem
regarding IE7 to the following newsgroup. The folks there specialize in
helping you with problems such as yours and others specific to the Beta 2
program, and the IE7 Beta team is also assisting in this group and anxious
to hear of your experience and comments. So please post your question to
microsoft.public.internetexplorer.general newsgroup.

On the web:
http://www.microsoft.com/communities...plorer.general

In your newsreader:
news://msnews.microsoft.com/microsof...plorer.general

Hope this helps.

Go to the Registry key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer

Right click on Internet Explorer > New String Value > Name that value
InstalledByUser (the value of the new String should be your User Account
name) > Uninstall IE7 via Add/Remove Programs.

FYI (IMHO): Installing a BETA Web Browser on
anything other than a TEST computer = BAD IDEA
