Trying to uninstall Office 2007 and start again.

Will not allow, stating:

"Set cannot continue as a required file is either corrupted or unavailable.
Run set-up from the original source disk or download location"

Even though the disk is the the drive. Every time I try to re-install or
un-install I get same message, any ideas how to fix?

thanks
Gordon

gogsy00,
Try downloading the Windows Installer clean-up utility, run it.
Then try to re-install Office 2007.

I"m having this problem as well with Office 2007 on an XP machine. I can see
Office in the Remove Programs view but it will not delete them. I used this
tool and can't see any Office items in this view. When I try to reinstall
from the disk it just says there was an error.
