Hello,

The client has two laptops with Windows7 installed in XP Mode. I need to
turn the Firewall of to install software, but the option fields are dimmed
out. Also, I can't enable the Wireless setting for the same reason.

Thank you for any help and God Bless,

Mark A. Sam

What do you mean by "installed in XP mode"?

Windows 7 is Windows 7 and Windows XP is Windows XP.

XP mode is an emulation that is run under Win7, I've never used it but I'm
sure you can start it and shut it down like any program.

Try to ask your question there:

http://social.technet.microsoft.com/...o,windowsvista
itpro,windowsxpitpro/

I never shut down my firewall to install software.

Is your client logged with administrator rights?
