Am using Windows XP and Windows Messenger 4.7 was
working. But I then installed software for DSL service.
The software also installed MSN Messenger and MSN
Explorer. Windows Messenger then did NOT work. When
someone tries to call me, I accept and the other party
gets a message that says "The network or computer you are
trying to reach is experiencing a problem. Please try
again later." Before this message pops up, the other
party can see the microphone monitor moving for a second
at which time the message appears.

I can send instant messages and I can obtain remote
asssistance. So it would seem some part of Windows
Messenger is working.

I removed MSN Messenger and MSN Explorer via add/remove
and it did not change anything. I also installed Windows
Messenger 5.0. This too did not change anthing.

The only firewall being used is the xp built-in program.
Mcafee is the anti-virus program.

Can someone give me some advice?
