Can't switch to other users after reloading XP

I recently had to reload Windows XP, and after setting up my multiple user
accounts I am finding that I am unable to switch to other users. When I
click on another user icon on the logon screen, it briefly flashes a
background image, then immediately returns to the logon screen. No error
messages or any hint as to a problrm, just can't get to another account. Any
ideas?
