I had a member server fail that was a DFS replication
member. While the server was down I removed it from DFS
since I did not know how long it would be down. The server
had to be rebuilt and when it came back online it started
to replicate even though it is no longer listed as a
member in DFS.
Eventually I want to add the server back to DFS but I am
affraid to do so until I figure out why it continues to
replicate even though it is not listed in DFS.
I stoped FRS, deleted the NTFRS folder, reset the NTFRS
registry settings using the NTFS registry export from a
server not running frs. When I restarted the service the
replication continues.
Any ideas?
Thanx Frank
