Can't start windows 2000 in any safe mode

I am having the same problem as Shane. I tried to start in safe mode, debugging mode, last good config mode. None will work. It just keeps cycling through and restarting.
Previously I installed the lastest update and lost my network. It was suggested to me I uninstall the update. I did and now can't start at all
