Can't start Outlook 2007: Access denied to the file outlook.ost

I'm having trouble getting Outlook 2007 to work. When I open the program I
get an error meassage that states that I can't open extend.dat, possibly
because I don't have access to it. Further I get another error meassage that
states that I can't open outlook.ost for the same reasons as above mentioned.
I find this a little perculiar since I am the administrator of the computer.
If it's any help I have been using Microsoft Exchange so far and that works
well enough, I just can't get the "real" Outlook to work. Someone please
help.
