Ok well i shut off my computer yesterday, and when i went to start it back up
it would not start. I can see my back ground, and when i press
ctrl+alt+delete that window comes up. Thats it though. I can start it up in
safe mode w/ networking without a problem. I can surf the web and everything.
I tried restoring settings to a few days ago, and still nothing. Any
suggestions

Have a look at the post with the subject "Bootup Problem", posted
here less than two days ago.

Hey that didn't do it. Also when i start up the computer it takes FOREVER to
start up and even get to the start up music thing. It takes like 10 mins for
it to start up.

When you say "that didn't do it", what exactly did you do?

Do clean boot troubleshooting, and be more specific in your posts. Saying
"Hey that didn't do it" doesn't communicate anything.

Click Start / Run / msconfig.exe {OK}, then click the Startup
tab. Disconnect your machine from the Internet during these
tests - your virus protection might be disabled!"

I tried that, and it didn't work. It just booted up and i saw my background
and that was it.

It seems you took some liberties. Here are the instructions from the
other post:
1. Break your Internet connection. If you don't then you might get
hit with a virus.
2. Run msconfig.exe and click the Startup tab.
3. Untick every task.
4. Reboot in normal mode.
5. Restore one or two ticks at the time until you find the culprit.

You did Steps 1 and 2. What about Step 3?

================

You need to remember that we can't see your machine. You never
confirmed that you had run Step 3, hence we must assume that you
did not run it.

Here is another step you can take while in msconfig:
- Click "Services"
- Tick "Hide All Microsoft Services"
- Untick all remaining services
- Reboot the machine

In your first post you wrote "when i press ctrl+alt+delete that
window comes up. Thats it though." What window comes up?
Again we cannot see your screen, hence we don't know what
happens when you press Ctrl+Alt+Del. Report exactly what
you see!
