I installed intellipoint 5.0 software from the microsoft
site onto my laptop and ever since I get the following
message whenever I try to put the system on standby
:
THE DEVICE FOR THE 'STANDARD 101/102- KEY OR MICROSOFT
NATURAL PS/2 KEYBOARD' IS PREVENTING THE MACHINE FROM
ENTERING STANDBY. PLEASE CLOSE ALL APPLICATIONS AND TRY
AGAIN.IF THE PROBLEM PERSISTS, YOU MAY NEED TO UPDATE THE
DRIVER.

The driver I installed was the only one for windows
xp.I've tried uninstalling and I get the same message.
Anyone got any ideas other than completely reformatting
my system?

Hi

Why you installed Intellipoint 5.0 on the laptop
It is for the MS intelli mouse
Try remove the driver or use the restore feature to rollback the OS to the date prior to the installation this drivers
Also try download and update the keyboard drivers from your laptop manufacturer's website
