I have a Windows XP SP2 (unbranded) CD.
It came from a major computer dealer - it's not pirate.
I copied all to hard disc folder.
I download the XP SP3 from Microsoft a month ago.
I tried to update the XP files but it has an error and
is closed by Windows, and creates an error log which
contains:
OnlyUpdatesOfLowerSPIntegrated
media has no integrated hotfixes
svcpack.inf is not found

WTF is causing this?

You have to use a file integrating program such as nLite or Autostreamer to
create a bootable disk. Just copying the files to your hard drive won't do it.

Hiya, are you using nLite? IMHO, it's the easiest way to do a slipstream.

Hope this helps you. JG

I tried slipstreaming SP2 into my retail copy of SP1, and got an
explicit error message that I could not update anything but an original
(SP0?) installer. Your error, though not particularly clear, seems similar.
