I have Messenger V. 4.7 (4.7.3001) with winxp IE7 and have been using
it with out any trouble for a few months, but now when I try to sign in, a
message comes up to say:
"You were unable to sign in to Net Messenger
possibly because of a problem with the service or with your Internet
connection. Please make sure that you are connected to the Internet"
I have tried to re-install a later version, it says (when I get to "run")
"You have a later version already installed" and advises not to install.
In the Net Messeger Service Status, it says that "all systems are
stable and running"

I actually was already signed in, but then the icon got a red cross on
it and says "not signed in" when holding the curser over it.
I have tried over and over to sign in but no luck.

I sure would appreciate any assistance please.
