Hi guys,
Any pointers would be greatly appreciated as I'm tearing my hair out
We have a Windows 2000 desktop sharing out a directory and 2 printers.
It has been running like this for years. Just recently, I made the
mistake of deleting the printer and re-adding it. Through both
Administrator and my normal account, I cannot share the printer out.
When I go the Printer Properties, the "Sharing Properties" section is
greyed out. I looked at the Printer Access Control Lists and each
rule (Administrator, the user, and Everyone) have "Manage Printer" set
to allow. I looked at Group Policies and I don't see anything that
would affect this.
BTW: The other printer continues to be shared (and works correctly)
and the directory is shared and is accessible.
We are running Norton and Spysweeper on this box, though I have a hard
time believing they might have caused this.
What other areas might have caused this situation ? (Or in other
words, where else should I look ?)
Thanks for your thoughts and pointers !!
