i have setup two forest. forest-a has the root server,
with dns, and AD. A win2k server with wins, and a winnt
4.0 sp6a server with exch 5.5 sp4. forest-b has the root
server, dns, and one win2k server that will have exch2k
sp3. all w2k servers are sp2. i can ping each server from
either domain by their name and ip, and dns responds all
the time. i can see both domains in networl explorer, and
even see the shares across the forests. i aldo have both
admin accounts in the enterprise admin group, and the
password is the same in each forest. wins in forest-a can
see all the coputers. when i try creating a two-way trust,
i get an error on each server saying that it cant find the
other domain. and get a non-transative, non-windows
authentication status on the trust that are created. all
win2k servers are sp2.
