I have tried to set the "Amount of disk space to use for temporarily offline
files" to 4G under File Explorer -> Tools -> Folder Option -> Offline Files
tab of my XP Professional Edition, my change is never saved no matter how
many times I tried.

The maximum amount that I can set is around 2G.

Is 2G the maximum disk space for offline files for Windows XP Professional?

"This behavior occurs because the client-side cache for
temporarily-cached files is limited to 2 GB. This limitation exists
because the signed 32-bit integer internally stores the cache size
value. "
