I recently switched from Comcast to a company called Hotwire. I'm not sure
what I have to change to make my email work. Thanks

I could not find an ISP named Hotwire. What is their website?
Presumably you pay your new ISP good money for which they owe
you assistance and clear setup directions.

Don't know if this is the one, but I found http://www.gethotwired.com/
but they don't seem to have any online instructions.

Good find. That is probably the outfit the OP (Melissa) had in mind.
Their website is devoid of any technical information.
Melissa, call 1-800-355-5668 for assistance.

Thank you guys both. I called and they told me the incoming and outgoing
servers. I put those in. Now when I try to send mail I am getting this
message:

Account: 'home', Server: 'pop.hotwiremail.net', Protocol: POP3, Server
Response: '-ERR Mate, the command must be one of CAPA, USER, PASS or QUIT',
Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC18

I am lost.

Evidently your mail settings are sending a command to the server
that it does not understand. Go to Tools, Accounts, select the account,
Properties, Servers, and make sure that "Log on using Secure Password
Authentication" is NOT checked.

Let us know how it goes.
