cant send or recieve email, asking for user nane and password, had too completely reboot computer other day had luck with mail since ,,,any suggestions

Please don't try to write your entire problem description on the Subject line.
Use that white space in the body of the message.

When you get that repeated prompt for username and password, click Cancel,
which should then produce an error message. Right-click on your error message,
copy, then paste it into a reply here. We can't do much troubleshooting without
the complete error message.

The same thing just happened to me...I have never seen this before...I am
putting in my user name and password and it is NOT letting me send or receive
emails. Don't know why this just started..getting this pop up. HELP what do
I do so I can get past this and start using my email again???

Sometimes the account settings get corrupted.
Remove the account, close Windows Mail, restart Windows Mail and re-enter
the account information.

Note: if you really mean Windows LIVE Mail, please note that removing an
account will delete all messages currently in the Inbox of that account

That looks like a temporary server error. Try again later.
Your settings for that account are correct.
