Hi,

I was approached by someone who claims they cannot send or
receive long distance faxes on Windows XP. Apparently
they can send/receive locally. The phone company swears
it has to be computer related. Thanks,

Whats the error when they try to send?
As long as the dialing rules are set correctly you can fax long distance

Well, provided you have a long distance service on the phone line in
question! Not so stupid as it initially sounds, we have one phone line here
with no long distance service...saves $s. Long distance calls are dialled
from the other line...or on the cellphones to use up all those minutes they
keep giving me every month in the evening hours.
