After a upgrade from microsoft.it now when I push the button
send/receive or F9 I have a error "the operation isn't possible" even
if I do it from the menu it work, only one in a time.

I'm having the same trouble. I can send emails, but can't receive. Also, when
i press the send / receive button, it just says "the operation failed". I
can't find a solution anywhere!!

You need to provide some further information:

1) Outlook version
2) Email environment (POP3, Exchange, etc.)
3) Any troubleshooting steps you have already taken
4) Operating system

now after a new upgrade to office 2003 service pack 2 the button work again.
