Not even in the ballmark. Contact your email provider (ISP), you can't just
guess at this stuff.

How do i contact my e-mail provider though? I have always sent stuff through
Yahoo. This is the first time im using micrsoft e-mail

Free Yahoo accounts are not compatible with WM.

Send mail via the Yahoo page as you did previously.

You could set up a Gmail or Live or Hotmail accounts in WM.

Did you get a email and password from your ISP when you signed up with them,
who do you pay for internet access?

If it's a US- or CA-based account, you'd have to subscribe to Yahoo Plus in
order to access the account in Windows Mail. Same was true when you were
using Outlook Express in WinXP or earlier.

"SMTP" is not a valid mail server name.
Who provides your email service? Or to ask that question another way,
what is the part of your email address after the @ symbol?
Your mail provider will typically have a web page that shows how to
set up an email program. If you need more help, tell us the name of
your email service provider.
