Hi Folks,
New to Windows Vista and Windows Mail. Set up my account but every time I go
to send a McAfree window appears and states the following:

E-mail Connection Lost
One or more e-mails cannot be sent
Details
View the log
After you verify your computer is connected to the Internet, McAfee
recommends that you resend those messages from your e-mail program.
--
I've disabled all Mcafree protection and tried again, but to no avail. Does
anyone out there have a similiar problem or more impotantly, a quick
solution????? (I have no prob receiving mail).
John

Uninstall the McAfee junk and put on a better, less invasive antivirus.
Recommended programs are Kaspersky, NOD32, and if you want free - Avast.

Remove McAfee from your computer completely. It causes too many issues including what you are experiencing.

Please submit the complete error message, verbatim,
not paraphrased.

Solved my Windows Mail/Vista problem. In the setup in Mail check the box
requiring authentication of server then go to settings window. Highlight
the circle
telling the system to use the same userid and password you used for
incoming mail server. Now I can send emails. p.s.s XP and 98 didn't
required outgoing authentication

PSS - The outgoing authentication requirement (or lack) has nothing to
do with your operating system. That requirement comes from the mail
server; i.e., your ISP.
