Greetings Claudio,

In order to send a file through Messenger, the router will need to support Universal Plug and
Play (UPnP), or have some type of built-in Messenger file transfer support, which only a few
Belkin routers support currently.

You might try upgrading your Belkin router to the latest firmware here:
http://web.belkin.com/support/downlo...egory=9&lang=1

You also might have to engage the 'DMZ' mode in the router configuration in order for the
built-in file transfer support to function, see the router documentation on setting this up.

Also, the latest release of the Belkin router firmware may support UPnP (unfortunately Belkin
isn't the greatest company on details), in which case installing Windows Messenger 5 (which
has UPnP file transfer support which Windows Messenger 4.7 does not) may also assist:

Finally, you may want to install MSN Messenger 6, which has a few more ways of sending file
transfers (it can even send files through the Messenger servers, bypassing any router
problems, although your clients will need to be using MSN Messenger 6 in order for this
feature to work properly):
