US-based free Yahoo accounts have webmail access only, no POP access.
Windows Mail handles POP mail but not Yahoo webmail.
Yahoo's solution is to pay for premium "Mail Plus" service:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mai...iew/index.html
and use the special settings for that service:
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mai...op/pop-14.html

I don't understand your reference to "auto sender", but it can't
overcome Yahoo's restrictions on free accounts.

Reinstall Yahoo Companion toolbar then enable the option to make Yahoo Mail
your default; cf.
http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/mai...ttings-10.html

You will not be able to access your Yahoo account in Windows Mail unless
you're a Yahoo Plus subscriber.
